The Slush 2023 balance sheet is impressive: the 13,000 visitors last year included around 5,000 startups and 3,000 investors. In total, according to the organizers, over 20,000 meetings were booked between both parties via the Slush platform, which meant around 1,000 conversations per hour. The investors on site united over three trillion dollars in assets, making the event the largest concentration of venture capital on the planet.
nnnnFor startups with capital requirements, a visit to the event in Helsinki is therefore a must on the annual calendar. And Munich Startup is also on site this year – for the third time in a row with its own booth. Together with the partner cities of Startup Champs (Hamburg, Cologne, and Berlin), we are again part of the Germany booth of the German-Finnish Chamber of Commerce. Munich Startup gives three Munich startups the opportunity to present themselves to the fair visitors.
nnnnThe package includes:
nnnn- n
- an entrance ticket for Slush 2024 (1 ticket per startup) nnnn
- the inclusion of your logo at the shared booth of the Startup Champ cities Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg, and Munich nnnn
- temporary use of the shared booth as your own presence at the fair nnnn
- participation in various exclusive side events n
In addition, the selected startups can register for the Slush 100 pitch competition. The winning team of this startup competition organized by the Slush organizers has the prospect of an investment of one million euros from leading early-stage funds Accel, General Catalyst, Lightspeed Venture Partners, NEA, and Northzone.
nnnnRegistration for Munich Startup’s Slush booth until August 23
nnnnTech startups from Munich that are listed on munich-startup.de/startups can apply, provided their product or service generates measurable impact and they are already generating initial revenue. The startup’s total previous funding must not exceed €750,000. Additionally, internationalization or the recruitment of international investors should be on the agenda. The application deadline is August 23, 2024.
nnnnThat a visit to the fair is worthwhile is confirmed by Manuel Opitz, CEO and co-founder of Deepeye Medical. He was part of the Munich delegation last year and commented at the time:
nnnnnnnnn„I was impressed by the response rate to investor inquiries we received at Slush: seven out of ten responded to our inquiry, we scheduled six meetings, and all investors showed up. We even had three more inquiries from investors. I’m not quite used to that from Bits & Pretzels. Secondly, I found the side events and the pre-events on Day 0 fantastic – there you can network very well in an intimate setting with sector-specific investors and startups.”
