Hololight was founded in 2015 and has been operating as an enterprise streaming platform in the market for immersive applications and XR (virtual and augmented reality). ‘Hololight Hub’ is designed to enable global availability and easy deployment of XR applications. Companies use it to improve their industrial processes in product development, manufacturing, training, and service. With the new investment of €11.4 million, the startup wants to further develop its XR streaming platform and win additional customers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and mechanical engineering.
“Setting new standards in the application of XR technologies”
Florian Haspinger, CEO of Hololight, comments:
“As a pioneer in XR streaming for enterprises, we aim to stream every XR app through our Hololight Hub. This way, we want to help companies overcome the barriers to using immersive technologies. Our approach not only offers improved data security and infrastructure flexibility, but also enables authentic XR experiences and global availability – all in an extremely cost-effective manner.”
The expansion into the USA last May, with the opening of an office in the Triangle technology park in Durham, demonstrates the company’s ambitions to further expand its global presence.
Monika Steger, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital, comments on the current funding round as follows:
“Hololight impressively demonstrates the innovation power of European companies in the XR sector. Its ability to compete in the global market reflects the strength and potential of European technology leaders. We are proud to work with a company like Hololight that sets new standards in the application of XR technologies.”
