When future technologies, innovative business models and creative delicacies come together, it’s time for ‘Startup meets craft‘. The event, which was launched as a joint project by the Handwerkskammer für München und Oberbayern (HWK) and Munich Startup in 2016, aims to promote exchange between innovative founders and skilled craftspeople. Participants have the unique opportunity to learn about new technologies and business models and to discover synergies between the world of craftsmanship and the startup scene that are not always apparent at first glance.
The evening event, which takes place on 12 October in the HWK premises, consists of two parts: after an entertaining stage programme in which all protagonists introduce themselves and their company in three-minute pitches, networking continues in a relaxed atmosphere. The highlight here – in addition to interesting conversations and intensive exchange – are the local delicacies that are served. This year, the Munich Hopfenhäcker craft brewery with its symbiosis of German brewing art and American craft beer and the Platzfisch from Mittenwald with its fish craftsmanship from the Bavarian Alps will be featured.
