Testbirds has continued to increase its revenues in recent years and has also retained its largest customers – including corporations such as BMW, Deutsche Bahn, and Deutsche Telekom. With the additional funds from Round2 Capital, the company aims to expand its customer base further, with the goal of becoming the world’s leading crowdtesting provider. The seven-figure amount, which has not been precisely specified, that the VC is investing in the Munich-based company is a revenue-based debt investment.
Stefan Nagel, Managing Partner at Round2 Capital, comments on the investment:
“We are impressed by Testbirds’ development over the past few years and believe that revenue-based financing is perfectly suited to enable further growth. We are pleased to collaborate with Testbirds and existing investors to support their vision of becoming the world’s leading crowdtesting provider.”
For the Munich-based company, this is now the sixth financing round. Existing investors include Seventure Partners, Exotel, and B2venture, among others. BayBG and Bayern Kapital had also invested in the company.
Testbirds aims to continue growth trajectory
Georg Hansbauer, CEO and co-founder of Testbirds, is equally enthusiastic:
“We are very satisfied with Testbirds’ recent development and look forward to what we can achieve with the support of Round2 Capital. The funds will enable us to continue our growth trajectory and create even more value for our customers.”
According to the company, over 1 million testers are registered worldwide with Testbirds to test software applications such as websites and apps on their own devices. The focus is on checking user-friendliness and functionality for all software types and device combinations. The company itself now employs over 100 staff members.
