Founders who want to disrupt, complement, or support the culture and creative industries are in the right place at the Wavelab Incubator. With a hybrid program that alternates between in-person weeks and remote work phases, participants receive six months of support in the form of individually tailored coaching sessions with suitable experts. In addition, there is matching and exchange with experienced mentors from culture, tech, and business, as well as free coworking.
The incubator’s network also provides access to cultural institutions and enterprises – from subculture to high culture – and connects young companies with other players in the Munich startup ecosystem as well as technology companies. In addition, investors, funders, and potential customers are also part of this network.
Wavelab Incubator: applications until August 31
The incubator is looking for teams of at least two founders who use new technologies to solve a problem in music, arts, or media. A functioning prototype should be within reach, although the startup does not officially need to be founded yet. Additionally, Wavelab values that submitted ideas are innovative, sustainably financeable, and scalable. And of course, participants must be able to be on-site during the in-person phases at the Wavelab Incubator.
Anyone interested in applying to the Wavelab Incubator has until August 31 to do so. For the online application, a presentation video of the team and idea as well as a pitch deck and financial plan are required. The most promising teams will be invited by Wavelab to a get-to-know-you call at the end of September. The program then starts in November.
If you’d like to learn more about Wavelab and the incubator beforehand, you have the opportunity on July 26. On that day, a digital info session will take place from 4 to 5 p.m., where the program will be presented and questions will be answered.
