Rocket Tutor
1st place: With its appearance on “The Lion’s Den,” Rocket Tutor takes the top position in your startups of the third quarter 2024. The startup’s mission: to personalize education through the use of artificial intelligence and make it accessible to every learner. Komaldeep Chahal, Yue Wu, and Lionel Rühlemann have developed a personal AI math tutor that prepares each user individually for the next math exam and the Abitur. Carsten Maschmeyer offered the founders 500,000 euros for seven percent of the shares. The entry has been notarized since August. (Photo: RTL / Bernd-Michael Maurer)
Munich Startup 2024 Award
2nd place: 2NA Fish wins the eighth Munich Startup Award and may thus claim the title of “Best Munich Startup 2024”. As one of ten semi-finalists, 2NA Fish impressed the jury with its idea to revolutionize therapy decisions for cancer. The startup’s platform technology is designed to enable precise and predictable diagnoses for cancer therapy, based on spatial analysis of gene activity. In addition to the trophy, the winning startup receives prize money of 10,000 euros. (Photo: Munich Startup)
Deepdrive
3rd place: Right behind it ranks Deepdrive, last year’s winner of the Munich Startup Award. As part of an oversubscribed Series B financing round, 30 million euros go to the account of the e-mobility startup. The financing is led by Leitmotif, and all existing investors have also participated. With the fresh capital, Deepdrive is able to build modern production lines at its new location in the north of Munich and industrialize its patented dual-rotor motor technology. (Photo: Deepdrive)
Voiceline team
4th place: Voiceline has developed a solution that allows field service employees to capture customer interactions via voice input. An AI analyzes the inputs, recognizes industry-specific jargon and terminology, and converts them into automated follow-up processes. In this way, the startup aims to significantly reduce the follow-up time for customer appointments and ensure complete documentation. For this idea, Voiceline has secured 2.4 million euros in its seed round – and a place in your startups of the quarter. (Photo: Voiceline)
Parkdepot Wemolo
5th place: Also among the top 5 startups of the third quarter is Wemolo. Its parking space management solution is based on image recognition technology with artificial intelligence. With this, the startup automates the processing and billing of parking transactions on paid and unpaid parking spaces. The use of license plate scanners is designed to make conventional parking systems with barriers, parking tickets, and inspectors obsolete. CIBC Innovation Banking is also convinced of Wemolo’s solution and provides the Munich startup with an unspecified amount. (Photo: Wemolo)
