The artificial ventilation of patients with acute lung failure has so far been manually adjusted on ventilators based on often only very non-specific parameters such as body weight. This demonstrably contributes to the high mortality rate of almost 40 percent in this type of emergency. We want to change that. Our software uses computed tomography images and artificial intelligence to create a virtual, patient-specific model of the lung. This enables automated, personalized, and precise prediction of the optimal ventilation method. The simulation methods from Ebenbuild can also be effectively used in other areas: for example, personalized predictions can be made for the therapy of severe respiratory diseases and pharmaceutical and medical products can be optimized.
