Our vision is that people spend more time together again. In real life, in real conversations, in the best restaurants. meetastic is a digital platform that makes it quick and easy to organize meetups with friends and discover great restaurants, bars and cafés for the entire group. The web and app application brings guests together with great restaurants and provides value to both sides through its unique matching algorithm. If you’re wondering at this point: “That already exists, what’s new about it?” What makes meetastic special is our intelligent matching process and automatic organization of meetups. The app is like a search engine for groups: Each participant selects their preferences regarding cuisine type, diet, price level and other aspects such as sustainability, outdoor seating, child-friendly facilities, etc. and provides their availability and location. The meetastic algorithm matches all inputs and automatically finds the best time for the group, considers all diets, tastes and allergies and finds a restaurant that is quickly accessible for all participants (via a combined radius search of all locations). At the same time, restaurants have the opportunity to supplement their profile with menus, important information about their offerings, facilities and sustainability aspects, and can accept and manage online reservations via meetastic. The app launch was originally planned for November 2020. Then unfortunately Corona came and made meetups with friends and in restaurants impossible for the time being. So we quickly decided to postpone our launch to the next year and thought about how we could use our resources meaningfully in the meantime to support restaurateurs during the crisis. Our small contribution to returning to normalcy is the free digital guest registration for a safe and worry-free visit. Guests register themselves via QR code – quickly, uncomplicated and without an app directly via the browser. The registration meets the highest data protection standards and as a restaurateur you don’t have to deal with collecting, securely storing and timely deletion of data. The meetastic guest registration takes care of all tasks in the background so restaurateurs have more time for important things and no stress with current legal corona regulations.
