About STABL Energy GmbH
STABL Energy GmbH develops energy storage systems from retired vehicle batteries. The goal is to increase the use of renewable energies with the help of energy storage while extending the lifecycle of car batteries. This reduces dependence on fossil fuels and enables longer use of batteries that contribute to the success of the energy transition. To achieve this, the company sets a new standard in design, safety, reliability, cost efficiency, and battery storage handling with its innovative, integrable technology. First choice for second life STABL’s technology can connect batteries with different residual capacities in large quantities to the public power grid without a central inverter. The advantages of the innovative technology are diverse: second-life storage from sorted-out e-car batteries is a promising way to extend battery life and reduce their ecological footprint. Second-life batteries can also help reduce the costs of renewable energies and improve the integration of solar and wind energy into the power grid. STABL realized its first projects together with partners in Germany and Switzerland. STABL was founded in 2019 by Dr. Arthur Singer, Dr. Nam Truong, Martin Sprehe, and Christoph Dietrich, four visionary engineers from TU München, Universität der Bundeswehr München, and Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. The startup has since experienced solid growth: starting with a small group of founders, the company now employs almost 30 full-time employees and around 20 student assistants.
