The ARCIS builds an AI-powered decision layer for logistics and freight operations. Many logistics teams still work with fragmented processes across TMS systems, Excel files, emails, PDFs, and the experiential knowledge of individual dispatchers. This results in manual work, slow handovers, missing information, and inefficient planning decisions.
ARCIS was founded by Onur Yılmaz and Birkan Kolcu, two computer engineers whose collaboration began 14 years ago as classmates, roommates, and long-term technical partners. Onur combines computer science, business-building experience, an MSc in Informatics from the Technical University of Munich, experience at Intel, and strong connections within the Munich startup ecosystem. Birkan contributes technical depth from his computer science studies at the University of Arizona, as well as practical experience in cloud engineering and scalable systems.
The focus on logistics arose from close relationships with logistics companies and operators within the team. As these conversations intensified, a recurring pattern became clearer: high-level operational decisions continue to be made manually across disparate systems and based on personal experience. The ARCIS helps logistics teams connect this information and make faster, more reliable decisions regarding dispatch planning, load-truck-driver matching, capacity utilization, document processes, and operational exceptions—without replacing existing systems.
