DHS Africa is a German health technology company. We build and operate digital health systems for hospitals and clinics in sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on East Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania.
We work as an implementation partner. We plan, build, implement, and operate the systems together with the client. A complete platform manages a hospital or clinic using a shared patient record: registration and admission, appointment scheduling, physician workstation, patient files, laboratory, pharmacy, billing and payment processing, patient communication, telemedicine, and reporting. The systems are offline-first and GDPR-compliant, and function even with poor internet connections.
We integrate national health insurance providers like SHA in Kenya, mobile money services like M-Pesa and MTN MoMo, as well as WhatsApp, USSD, and SMS. AI runs as a support layer, and every expenditure is reviewed by a doctor before being added to the patient's record.
Our teams are located in Germany, Kenya and Uganda.
Niklas Inderst is the founder and managing director of DH Solutions Africa. He manages the company from Munich, with teams in Germany, Kenya and Uganda who implement and operate the systems on site.
