Voiceline team
1st place: In August, Voiceline secures first place. This month, the Munich startup raised 2.4 million euros in its seed round, increasing its total funding to 4.2 million euros. Voiceline, founded in 2020 by Nicolas Höflinger and Sebastian Pinkas, has developed a solution that enables field service employees to capture customer interactions via voice input. An AI analyzes the input, recognizes industry-specific jargon and terminology, and converts it into automated follow-up processes. According to the company, the solution reduces the follow-up time, which can take more than 60 minutes per appointment, by up to 80 percent. (Photo: Voiceline)
Parkdepot Wemolo
2nd place: Also with a financing announcement, Wemolo makes it to second place in our startups of the month for August. The Munich startup received fresh capital from CIBC Innovation Banking in an undisclosed amount. Wemolo specializes in digital parking solutions with license plate recognition. The startup’s parking management solution is based on image recognition technology with artificial intelligence. This allows Wemolo to automate the processing and billing of parking transactions at paid and unpaid parking spaces. The young company intends to use the financing to expand its product portfolio and presence in Europe. (Photo: Wemolo)
Flowers Software
3rd place: Flowers software helps companies digitalize and automate processes in business areas such as contract management and invoice approval. The startup previously raised over 3.2 million euros from investors such as La Famiglia and LEA Partners. Now an additional six million euros come in a round led by Capmont Technology and the third place in our ranking. LEA Partners is also participating again, significantly expanding its existing stake in Flowers as co-lead of the financing round. (Photo: Flowers Software)
Voltstorage
4th place: Voltstorage announced in August a milestone in the development of its iron salt battery and thus also makes it to fourth place in our startups of the month. The iron salt battery that Voltstorage is developing addresses the growing demand for long-term battery storage to support renewable energy. As part of the next development phase that has now begun, Voltstorage is distributing its development work across multiple parallel units. In this way, the startup wants to increase the volume of collected test data. One of these units – Voltstorage refers to them as development stands – focuses on operation with multiple battery cells. Another is equipped with a cell enlarged by a factor of three. (Photo: Voltstorage)
Judes Family
5th place: Judes offers washable diapers with an appealing design that are particularly easy to use. Disappointed by conventional cloth diapers, the founding couple developed their own system that works like disposable diapers but is much more sustainable. With their version, Nele Schellschmidt and Leon von Klitzing want to bring cloth diapers out of the niche and establish them as an environmentally friendly, economical alternative. An approach that secures them fifth place this month. (Photo: Judes Family)
