To advance planned growth in 2022, Anybill has secured additional financing. The seed financing has been increased from 1.9 million euros to five million euros. The Munich-based startup attracted additional investors: Mutschler Ventures, Wenvest Capital, and the Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund, along with several business angels, are now on board.

In addition to the Payone founders who already invested last year, the startup has secured AVG, a leading industry expert with years of experience in payment network operations, as an investor. Existing investors such as Ilavska Vuillermoz Capital also participated again in the round.

“Solving a really big problem”

Bernd Wendeln, Managing Director, and Christophe Aumaître, Principal at Wenvest Capital, on Anybill:

“The Anybill team impressed us immediately and convinced us that they can become the fintech player in the market that solves a truly tangible and major problem. The massive amounts of useless receipts that go straight to waste need to be converted into a digital format to provide value to all stakeholders again. We look forward to an active collaboration in the coming years.”

And Sylvie Mutschler, CEO, and Maximilian Engelken, Managing Director of Mutschler Ventures, say:

“We look forward to working with a fantastic founder and her co-founder and management team, whom we believe will make Anybill a category leader.”

Anybill is hiring new team members

The nearly 30-strong Anybill team is at the center of the growth plans. The funding will be used primarily to expand the team. The focus will be on new team members in Sales, Customer Success Management, and Tech.

Anybill has developed a solution that enables companies to create a digital receipt for every payment—in retailer, banking, and payment apps or without any app. The company was founded in 2019 by Lea Frank, Tobias Gubo, and Patrick Göttler and has offices in Regensburg and Munich.
