7 questions for Omega Space: Satellite data is already available in abundance. However, in agriculture and insurance, the resolution and speed needed for specific decisions are often missing. The Munich-based startup Omega Space Technology wants to close this gap with software that automatically translates freely available ESA data into damage reports, irrigation recommendations, and operational action plans. In parallel, the company is already working on its own satellite constellation called “KingTut”, which is scheduled to be deployed starting in 2029 specifically for agricultural and insurance applications.
