Update December 2025: Vidlab7 has since rebranded to Moonscale.
Munich Startup: What does your startup do? What problem does Vidlab7 solve?
Fabian Beringer, Founder: Vidlab7 is the automation engine for sales demos and pitches. With us, companies increase their conversion rates many times over, win more qualified leads, fill their pipeline more efficiently, and secure predictable revenue. We close the “demo gap”: companies invest millions in marketing and traffic, but most visitors drop off before they even experience a product. Our solution: every visitor gets an interactive demo instantly that automatically qualifies, follows up, and books meetings – supported by a sales avatar in real time. The result is measurably more conversions, direct meeting bookings, and faster return on investment (ROI).
Munich Startup: But that already exists!
Fabian Beringer: No – existing tools only deliver static content or require forms, booking calendars, and sales reps. At Vidlab7, everything runs fully automatically, in real time, and seamlessly integrated into customer relationship management (CRM) and sales workflows. An avatar ensures personal and human interaction. What’s decisive is end-to-end automation – including emails, follow-up materials, and personalized offers. Customers benefit from more engaged prospects, higher closing rates, and predictable revenue. Customers cannot get closer to the human sales experience with artificial intelligence (AI) than this.
The story behind Vidlab7: From e-bot7 to sales automation
Munich Startup: What is your founding story?
Fabian Beringer: During my studies, I founded my first AI company E-bot7 in 2016. Our mission was to help companies make their customer service more efficient through AI. In the end, we worked with over 200 customers across Europe and were acquired by a US company listed on the NASDAQ.
During that time, we faced the same challenges every day: extremely high marketing costs, low conversion rates, unqualified leads, and inflated sales costs – factors that massively burdened margins. As a founder, it was clear to me: this problem needs to be solved.
This is exactly where Vidlab7 comes in. Our solution relieves sales teams, increases marketing efficiency, and brings prospects directly into the product. We transform inbound traffic immediately into qualified pipelines and revenue – with an approach that replicates the human demo experience one-to-one digitally, but fully automated, scalable, and available around the clock.
The balance between humanity and automation
Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Fabian Beringer: The biggest challenge was finding the balance between automation and humanity. Our solution needed to be scalable, build trust, and deliver real business value. Equally important was maximum simplicity in setup – ready to use immediately without technical knowledge. Customers see fast ROI, measurable conversion increases, and no more lost leads as a result. Now we have the “human” aspect with the avatar, the perfect content with demo and pitch, and optimal execution with the AI agents.
Munich Startup: How is business going?
Fabian Beringer: We already work with renowned German and international enterprise customers and have launched Europe’s first insurance avatar. At the same time, we see a strongly increasing inbound flow from software and SaaS companies that want to scale but cannot invest in expensive sales teams. With Vidlab7, our customers achieve two to three times more pipeline from the same traffic, four times more demos without scheduling barriers, and significantly higher closing rates.
Munich as a location: talent, investors, tech hubs
Munich Startup: Where do you want to stand in one year, where in five years?
Fabian Behringer: In one year, we want to set the standard for automated sales demos in Europe. In five years, we see ourselves as the leading platform for AI sales demo automation across the entire sales funnel – from first touchpoint to contract closure. Our goal: revenue growth for our customers without additional headcount.
Munich Startup: How have you experienced the Munich startup ecosystem so far?
Fabian Beringer: I come from Munich myself and have already gotten around a lot, for which I am very grateful. Munich offers strong access to talent, investors, and companies. At the same time, we benefit from proximity to international tech and sales hubs and the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as an innovation engine. Customers here particularly appreciate the quick implementation, measurable results, and close collaboration.
Munich Startup: Outsource or do it yourself?
Fabian Beringer: We rely on a hybrid approach: we develop the core technology ourselves. For scaling and specialized topics, we work with selected partners. This ensures that our customers benefit from stable technology and flexible customization at the same time. At the same time, there are components we can swap out, especially the large language models (LLMs). Today’s customers expect modular solutions that fit perfectly into their ecosystem.
