Which startups have the best prospects of successfully completing a funding round soon? We take a look into our crystal ball and present five companies that are ready for investment.
nIn assessing which startups are ready for investment, we rely on the “Dealroom Signal” from Munich Startup Insights. This evaluates companies based on four categories: “Timing” indicates how much time has passed since the last funding round; “Growth Rate” refers to the startup’s growth rate; “Founding Team” examines the founders and what successes they have already achieved; and “Completeness” refers to the data availability of the startup within Insights. Startups can achieve a maximum score of 100 in each of the four categories, as well as in the overall rating. (Photo: Rawpixel / Freepik)n

nThe vacation rental company Holidu has recently made headlines primarily with new partnerships and acquisitions. Its last funding round, however, is a while ago: Just over 2.5 years ago, the company raised 100 million euros in its Series E, including 25 million euros in venture debt. If Holidu wants to continue its expansion trajectory so far, a new investment could be coming soon. The Dealroom Signal therefore stands at 100 points in the Timing category, with a total of 90 points. (Photo: Renate Forster)n

nThe Munich agtech startup Farminsect focuses on the feed sector. Founded in 2019, the company has developed an automated machine system that allows farmers to breed feed insects themselves. The system uses crop residues or byproducts from food production. This way, farmers can produce protein feed themselves instead of relying on imported soy or fish meal. In October 2023, Farminsect secured funding of 8 million euros. The Dealroom Signal stands at 89 points with 100 points in the Timing segment. (Photo: Farminsect)n

The seed funding of the Munich healthtech startup worth 2.5 million euros is already some time ago. Ebenbuild develops personalized simulation models of lungs based on patient data, so-called digital twins. These are intended to predict airflows, acting forces, and tissue stretches within the lung and calculate digital biomarkers from them. This helps doctors weigh the effects of ventilation on the individual patient precisely and make informed treatment decisions. (Photo: Ebenbuild)n
