nPlace 4: Daimler Truck and the defencetech Arx Robotics signed a letter of intent in early April for a strategic partnership. Together, they want to integrate AI and robotics technologies into military vehicle platforms. nPlace 5: Dock Financial was considered a beacon of hope for Munich’s fintech scene. The company developed customized financial solutions for various industries and supported its partners in integrating financial features. With the acquisition of Paydora and Compeon, the startup had attracted attention in the past. Nevertheless, the young company failed to raise fresh venture capital. At the end of May 2024, both Dock Financial GmbH and the affiliated Dock Financial Capital GmbH filed for preliminary insolvency. Now the fintech has apparently found a buyer in Rakuten. The Japanese tech company is securing the technology from Dock Financial. This was reported at the end of April by the Manager Magazin citing information from the company environment.
